As Socrates once said, “The way to a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.” At Sunset Design and Finishes, we are proud of our good name, carefully built over many years of dependability, customer service and expertise. But you don’t have to take our word for it. We caught up with one of our most valued builder clients recently, and she was happy to vouch for us.

Kathleen Magner is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at Watt Communities and currently serves as Area Sales Manager for Pardee Homes. When we asked her what she values most in a design associate, she responded, “Attention to detail and knowledge of what consumers are looking for today. Great designers have their pulse on current and future trends,” she continued, “and they know how to find high-quality materials that our homebuyers can afford.”

We worked closely with Kathy on several of Watt’s communities — including Entrada and Autry in Sylmar, and Asher Pointe in Gardena — and we were thrilled with her positive feedback. “My experience with SD&F is that every team member is focused on customer service,” she reported. “As well as offering expert design and budget solutions, they are seasoned professionals who are constantly looking for ways to grow and improve. The result is excellent work and solid relationships — with builders and buyers.”

Located within the established community of Sylmar, mountain vistas and abundant shade trees provide an inviting backdrop for these two popular neighborhoods, from Watt Communities. SD&F installed backsplashes, countertops (granite, cultured marble and quartz), hard-surface flooring and carpeting in the single-family detached residences at Entrada (above) and Autry (below).

The key ingredient to every successful business is customer satisfaction, and we deeply value the lasting connections we forge with our clients. At Sunset Design & Finishes, we look forward to making your next project rewarding, cost-effective and enjoyable!

SD&F would like to thank Kathleen Magner for giving us permission to include her remarks, and for her continued loyalty and friendship over many years.
